Evaluating foundation models (Chronos, TimesFM, Moirai, Moment) on underground mining telemetry — testing whether pre-trained time series representations transfer to a domain they have never seen. Collaborating with CanmetMINING on diesel fuel prediction research.

An AI scheduling assistant that converts natural language into constraint-validated shift schedules. Shipping the MVP this month.

Writing

Drafting “The Bitter Lesson Applied to Mining” — an essay on why general, scalable ML methods will overtake hand-crafted systems in heavy industry. Publishing on this site and LinkedIn.
